About Us
Morley Family
Butch and Becky Morley were both born and raised in
South Africa. They met at Rosebank Bible College and
were married in 1986. They have 4 children: Chad, Kirsti,
Lara and Calvin.
In 1995 they moved from South Africa to Minnesota,
USA. Butch became very involved in soccer through the
local community as well as in the Schools and God began to
give him a vision for sports evangelism.
In 2002 the Morleys moved to Florida and for the past
6 years they have been full time with On Goal Soccer
Ministries. This involved partnering with local Churches
who hosted summer and spring break camps; running after
school programs; coaching in the community; and a
voluntary chaplaincy to the USA U17 Men's National
soccer team who live and train here in Bradenton.
J316 Ball
About 3 1/2 years ago the idea of an “evangelistic
soccer ball” caught Butch’s attention. Using the colors
of the “wordless book”, (which tell the story of the
Gospel), the idea began to take shape. Butch worked with
Tom Fite (On Goal Ministries) and Derek Rillo (Tom’s
brother–in–law, a graphic artist) and the
J316 ball was
realized- a great tool for sharing the message of John
3:16!!
God continues to open doors for ministry as they move
forward in obedience to creatively communicating the
Gospel through sports to the Nations of the world. As of
August 2009, Butch and Becky have moved from full time
staff to associate staff with On Goal as they will be
heading up and developing J316 Ministries, Inc., along
with their continued involvement with outreach summer
camps, after school programs,
short term mission trips, coaching, and the
chaplaincy ministry.
